Personal training with Health & Fitness Systems is one-on-one resistance/strength, cardiovascular, and flexibility training with a nationally certified personal trainer. Whether your goals are to lose weight, gain muscular size, increase strength, improve sport performance, prevent injury or you desire to have a weekly commitment, a personal trainer will help you attain your goals. All of our personal trainers are nationally certified and many have extensive background in rehabilitation, sports, athletic training and nutrition.

People New To Exercise The thought of venturing into an exercise facility without any help or guidance can be very intimidating. Your trainer will teach you how to exercise efficiently, correctly and safely. We will provide you with guidance and education to ensure you establish effective exercise patterns right from the beginning.

Plateau Exerciser It's very easy to get bored with your exercise program and plateau with your results. Your trainer will show you how to exercise differently and provide you with a brand new program that will take you to a higher level of fitness.

Athletes (Professional & Amateur) need every advantage that is available to them. The ‘season’ is no longer the competitive months, but it is twelve months a year. Boot Camps and Specialty Classes

Throughout the year we will offer special themed classes, which are run by certified personal trainers. Theses classes are typically 1 hour in length, 4 to 6 weeks long, limited in size, and extremely cost efficient. Sports Performance

Carrie Burrows established the Sports Performance Program at Health and Fitness Systems. Carrie is a certified exercise specialist and a graduate of York University. She has been conditioning athletes from various sports for several years and has had the opportunity to meet and learn from many of the most respected therapists, strength coaches, and athletes from all over the country. Her experiences have shaped the program into what she feels is one of the best performance enhancement programs around.

The program's holistic and innovative approach to conditioning has helped many people achieve tremendous improvements in strength, size, speed, nutritional vitality, weight loss, core stabilization/function, and overall health.

Currently the Sports Performance Program offers several services:

  1. Find out what type exercise is best for YOU through our Nutritional and Lifestyle Questionnaires.
  2. Sign up to have a certified exercise specialist assess your current level of fitness. Areas of assessment include body fat composition, flexibility, core function, strength, static and dynamic posture, and much, much more.
  3. Program Design Opportunities. Our staff will review your performance goals, assess your current nutritional and physical condition, and personally design a 1-yr program to conquer your objectives.
  4. One-on-One Training. This package offers the most comprehensive approach to performance enhancement, as it includes all of our assessment strategies and program design capabilities.
  5. Consultation. We are often approached by teams and organizations seeking advanced training in strength and conditioning in an effort to raise the performance standards of their respected sports. This package can range from weight room layout and design to full time strength and conditioning program design and implementation.
  6. NEW! Golf Conditioning. This is a new package offered by Health & Fitness Systems aimed at educating golfers on proper postural mechanics, flexibility, and strength training to lower scores and prolong your health and function.
